360 deg camera option

Hi everyone. Just taken delivery of my new iX1 xline30 version with some options in Tenerife so Spanish LHD version. Test drive an Mspec one so was shown all the bells and whistles. When sat down to order mine (in June 2023) went through the options but failed to notice if I wanted 360 camera view it was buried in one of the options like Technology Plus. I wanted the option of a front facing camera/dashcam to capture collisions etc. But now find not possible.
Anybody know if it is possible to retro fit camera options.?
I would ask my dealer but their speaking English is a problem.

Check your my BMW app and look at the Connected Drive Services option which will show what addition options you can add. I would do it now as Black Friday 20% discounts are available or at least they are in UK. I just added Safety Camera alerts for example and could save a lot on the driving assistant plus option albeit not sure if you will be able to add as much if yours is the non technology plus version which has the camera installed to enable the upgrade. As you app knows your cars chassis number you’ll see what’s available. Or use the contact us option on the app.

Thanks for your reply. I checked Connected Drive options and only shows high beam control and traffic camera warnings. I can only guess the “dashcam” is not present. There is no 360 option when I press park either.

Without the technology plus pack your car doesn’t have the cameras fitted in the wing mirrors etc so can’t be remotely upgraded. Would be too expensive to upgrade which is I guess will be very annoying and poor of the dealer to not match your requirements. Mine is an MSport with adaptive headlights so has the high beam already. I can add the driver assistance package pro for £55 a month which is not happening and for what it’s worth I don’t have blind spot monitoring which given all the other mad stuff it’s does is poor. Should be standalone option not hidden in another pack that I think is another grand over the tech plus pro. I was tempted with Black Friday discount but for the amount of motorway driving and stuff I do I can’t justify buying it outright which is a lot cheaper. the high beam assist is worth considering I suppose but adaptive lights are a total game changer.

You could try contacting your dealer about retrofitting but probably way too expensive or impossible
