I've only had mine a month now, and only done 500 miles so far, so it might be too early to get any decent averages or range predictions, but at the moment I'm getting a range of just over 200 miles, which seems a bit rubbish TBH !
I know these things take a while to establish an average (and I've stopped driving it like a goon now the novelty has worn off !!! ) - just wondering what other people are getting?
(I normally charge to 80%, but we are going away in it this weekend, and I need the range!!!)
What kind of range are you getting?
Hi - I have specced 19" M Sport wheel to try and maximise range (iX1 not due until June)
20" wheels may impact range.
Also, the 19" may give a little extra tyre wall for pothole mitigation / ride comfort I hope.
The only real way to see range is a long journey, as the guess-o-meter is always going to be...best guess...!
Better to look at % battery as a journey progresses to gauge range.

With the MSport version and 20 inch wheels I am now getting about 230 miles showing at 100% after about 1000 miles so far. It started around 210 miles so probably depends how the battery is treated. I am trying to avoid fast chargers and the Boost mode!! I love the car. Hopefully it will get well over 250 miles in the summer. I have managed just over 200 miles at 70mph on dual carriageway/motorway which is similar to a Tesla Y I had last year which was supposed to to do 330 miles. This car is so superior to the Tesla in terms of finish mainly but also working technology. Love it!!
X line, 18 inch wheels, only 350 miles so far. Today mixed use in 13 degrees C (lazy driving) 3.8ml/kwh, so about 240 miles range. However I d say 3.5 would be more representative. Very nice car. I think however with worse weather and short journeys in city, it will be about 200 miles. Still plenty for the wife's daily use but BMW really should have put an 85kwh battery. But the car is so nice.

Some very interesting observations. I've had an iX1 now for 5 months here in France and yesterday on a round trip of 160miles to Toulouse it averaged 4 mi/kwh of mixed autoroute and town driving. (I've converted my SI readings to UK units) I agree that the computer is guesswork and mine has projected a range of up to 314 miles which is over optimistic. I've driven 4500miles and it has averaged around 3.45mi/kwh which is around the same as my wife's Mini Electric. So, I'm very pleased with the real results. I charge it up mainly at home to 95% but I'll reduce it to 90% to save the battery. The Ionity DC chargers are brilliant. In general I am very pleased with the car, especially refinement, performance & comfort but some days the tech drives me mad, yesterday it locked my phone and wallet inside the car and it wouldn't open by touching the door handle. I had to go home and get a key. Then it told me that Apple CarPlay no longer worked on Bluetooth. Has anybody else had this ?
Apple car play still works in wife's ix1
Today we did an almost similar journey about 50 miles, me in my i4 edrive 40 and wife in the iX1, reasonably good weather. I got 4ml/kwh, she got 3.5. This is actually very good. Tomorrow we ll be doing a round trip about 130 miles, we ll take the iX1 and I ll report the consumption.
I do have an issue though. In adaptive mode, the car does not slow down to avoid crashing onto slower cars ahead. It slows down for roundabouts. I am almost certain it was working fine for first 100 miles, then stopped. Is it working for you?

I'm getting > 400km (250mi) at 100% SoC.
Currently it is at 82% and 321km (200mi).
I always use personal mode and drive-B selected.
The temperature has a noticeable impact on consumption. In early April, I started with 20 kWh/100 km, and now at the end of May, it's down to 17 kWh/100 km. Or it could be because the battery was still new at the beginning of April.

Have recently noticed increased range up to around 250 miles (400 km) probably as a result of the decent weather in the UK at present. This is for the iX1 MSport With 20” wheels which is around 3.8 miles/kWh.

Hi all,
I have done about 200 miles and the range is indicating 215 in this warmish weather. But saying that I have been driving pretty aggressively putting my foot down and using the boost. Maybe if drove in B mode more it would go up.
Does anyone find that using B mode helps? I know in my old Hyundai, it used to show how much recharge I was getting during but I don't believe the BMW does do this?
But your all right, they should have placed an 84KWH battery in the car.

Happy to report that mine is much better now. Better weather, not driving it like a goon, and always in B mode now. The following suggests I'd get about 250 miles out of it. Much better
(though I've still only done 1700 miles in it since March! )
