Was the dealer visit successful?
They said in the car is main battery that is used for driving, cooling, and other big things and small battery which has to be always active and take signal from the app to perform addressable action. Most probably issue is there and I need to leave my car for deeper inspection.
but after inspection they said that all parts works fine and they don't understand why problem exist.
they raise ticket to the BMW factory, so far no reply
Thanks for coming back on here that’s really helpful, it sounds like it’s more than a handful of people have this issue so hopefully they will find out what’s causing the problem at some point. If I get anywhere I’ll come back on here. Cheers!
Just to update my situation which might help anybody else who’s having problems with the connected features not working once the car has been shutdown for a while. My car has just been at the dealers for 6 weeks following a seperate breakdown so I got them to look at this. They took my details off the app, replaced it with their own and the problems were resolved. They then replaced my details and since the car has been back with me the connected features all now seem to work even when the car is switched off for a long time. There’s no logical reason why this would solve things so sorry if this isn’t helpful but all I can say is I completely understand there’s an issue here (having lived with it for 4 months) so my only advice is to keep emailing BMW connected (as it could be a software fix) and, although it’s a pain to find the time, do take it into a bmw main dealer to get them to properly take a look - as this seems to have solved the problem with my car at time of writing.
